This term sees the
launch of our new Primary Enterprise Scheme. I have visited all of the primary
schools in our family of schools to launch the event with Year 5 pupils who
will be spending their summer term creating products to sell from recycled
materials.
Wybunbury Delves, The
Berkeley, Church Lane, Weston and Shavington Primary schools will raising lots
of money for their chosen charities.
Work Experience Forms
All Year 10 pupils should have, by now,
contacted your Work Experience Placements to arrange an interview and to
complete your agreement forms together.
For those pupils who have not yet done so,
please contact your placement AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to arrange your
interview.
If FULLY completed Agreement forms are not
received back at school before the end of May, your placement may NOT go ahead
and you will miss out on a valuable learning experience.
Year 10 Interview Conference
On Thursday 15th March all Year
10 pupils took part in our annual interview conference.
Representatives from 25 different
organisations interviewed individual pupils to help them become more confident
in an interview situation. Pupils were
given feedback on their application form, punctuality, clothing, politeness,
cooperation, answers to questions and how well prepared the interviewer thought
they were.
A number of pupils commented on the event
by saying it was terrifying at first but they overcame their initial nerves and
thought it was a great opportunity. I hope
they feel more prepared for their Work Experience and College interviews which
will be happening over the next few months.
Well done to everyone who took part, you were a credit to yourselves and
the school.
